I finally got back online and did some adventuring with Mel~!

This wasn't very useful, actually. I got two in-store items: a lei and a dragon mask :(

Meloetta had to go, so I went off to trade.
I tried to offer for someone's Zios Sculpture, but they were quite rude. They went on a tangent about how they were the "beta expert"
Okay then.

Afterwards, I traded a Fox Hat for a Bat Mask

That was pretty good in my opinion since they don't come back for halloween anymore

Nuzlocke Returns

Hi everyone!
I know it's been a while since I've posted. My stress level spiked recently and I haven't had much time to play.
In any case, I'm going to start the day today when I get home from school- hopefully pretty soon.

Here it is! I got rid of most of my good stuff, but I got one of my quest items.

This is what I traded:

-Rare Bow and Arrow

-Rare Tiara (2)

-Rare Glove

-Pirate Sword

So, yes, quite a lot of stuff!

I also got a Silver Glove from an adventure with Trains and Mel

Overall, a good way to fill a day that will have very little progress?

Day Four: A Trade

I traded my beard for this- I hope I can get a BETA item or two out of it!

Day Four: Onwards

I made some 'eh' trades this morning

I traded a tie for a top hat, and a star cape for a Shoji Screen. That top hat also turned into an Eagle Hat.

I also adventured with Cosmic and Badger, and we got a decent prize- a rare glove!

I forgot to do the update yesterday. I ended with 23 ish items and spent most of my time goofing around with other hard mode players

Day Three: Den Betas? Anyone?

I decided to spend my trading time today hunting down den betas, since I felt people would be more likely to accept them
I didn't really succeed

We did, however, get a lot of stuff from Adventures!

Day Three: (More) Trades

I got some awesome trades for some not-so-awesome items

First, I got the above two items for my freedom bands.
Those were part of my look, so I put my blue Glove on instead.

Then I got traded a black beard for my Cosmo's Wall Garden, which I think was pretty good, considering they can be earned easily in adventures.

I made some good trades this morning!
I traded a freedom mask for a blue glove, which is really awesome and profitable.

Earlier this morning, I got a few good deals. I don't remember for what exactly, but I did lose my Slingshot and something else

So all in all, good progress!

Today was also crazy in terms of all the players who got together!

Day Two: Great Trades

I was walking around Jamaa and got some decent trades. The above Pirate Sword was for Mech Wings, and the Fireplace was for a Fancy Top Hat- both good deals!

Day Two- Trades

I traded the Yeti Mask for a yellow Slingshot. I think this was pretty decent, considering Slingshots didn't come back during Carnival.

Then I traded my Shark Fin to someone who saw the blog- Selfsufficent. (Hi!)

Now I have Shoji in my den, which is nice.

Day Two: Items, Items, Items...

I found a group of Jammers playing Return of The Phantoms hard, so I joined in. We completed these actually pretty fast!
We ended with a fairly good payout, considering we had no Arctic Wolves.

The first item was one of my favorites back in the day- icy blue Mech Wings. I remember having this on my seal when they were released. The Icy Blue glitch color was also new back then. Everyone wanted them! There was a period in time where mech wings were like the current "den betas"

The next round was a [RARE] Star Cape, which is both A) Good for the challenge and B) Matched with my Koala.

Perfect.

The next few games weren't quite as good. The Shark Fin was definitely the best item.
I thought pink purses had the [RARE] tag, though? Odd...
I forgot to do an inventory update yesterday, so this is what it looks like now:

Day Two: An Announcement

Quick announcement, everyone: I've been getting a lot of buddy requests on Nuzlocke. I'm only going to be buddying people playing Hard Mode on that account-! That means you'll have to let me know you're playing before I buddy you.
I'm also clearing out my buddy slots on my real account, so I'll let you all know when I'm done cleaning it out.

Day One: Final Update

I played one last adventure with crispycorgi, mel, and another buddy. This wasn't half bad!

Day One- Part Two

I grouped up with some new buddies who are also doing the challenge and played a couple rounds of Return of The Phantoms (hard)

The results were great! We got a black glove, which is both great for getting good items, and it also looks really great on Crispy Corgi

The second round was just me and Corgi, we got Candy Crowns and Old Hoods.

I was planning on doing another round, but everyone had logged off, haha

I traded off my Elf and Santa hats for a Yeti Mask

Day One- Adventures

I decided to start out the first actual day of Hard Mode with a couple rounds of adventures. This was difficult, but I managed to find some groups playing Return Of The Phantoms, so I joined in.
(I'd also like to point out that I played a round of Sky High when I created my account and I got a Hat and Beard- so I'll count that in today's earnings.)

The first couple things I got were from both the Valentines Day adventure and Return of The Phantoms- normal mode.

I then grouped up with Mel and played Return of The Phantoms hard- I got these Freedom Bands. She did too, but she traded them off for Candy Cane socks

We eventually grouped off, she made a post about her earnings.

I also joined 'The Phantom Portal' Hard with a bunch of random people in the base camp. We got an elf hat, which didn't effect me that much.

I also traded the highlighted items above for a moon hat.

Welcome to Animal Jam: Hard Mode

Hello all, and welcome to my personal run of Animal Jam: Hard Mode, created by Meloetta385 and edited by myself.
If you haven't heard of this before, you could think about it as taking the "Necklace Challenge" that famous Jammers doted on for about five seconds and turning it into an actual challenge that will take a liberal amount of time and effort.
The goal of the game is to get a specific item or a set of items starting with nothing. I have a post that explains this in a little more detail, but here are the rules that I set in place on my post that I'll be using:

1. You may not buy any items from the store. Everything that you earn in Hard Mode must be obtained through minigames, trading, or playing Adventures. If gems are in any way involved in the transaction of obtaining an item, you must recycle it.

2. You cannot trade with an account you own or you have any major relationships with, unless you are playing in a group.
All this means is that you cannot trade items from your regular account to your new one, and close friends cannot help you unless the friend doesn't know you're doing a challenge or said friend is co-opping with you.

3. You cannot accept gifts, even from the Journey Book.

For this specific playthrough, I will be starting simple and using the most basic rules only, but if I ever do a different one I'll add on stricter rules.

I'll be trying my best to obtain all of the following items:

I want this run to be reasonably short, so I'll be trying my best to obtain these colors only but I might not be too picky.
